I'm Currently Feeling: | Oh hun that sucks.
If i were you i would carry on TTC - really i would.
Nevermind you have a few years yet - you've been doing this for a while and your brother knew, yet still he chose the far flung destination and OMG a 4k price tag!!! what will be will be - go for it!
You can fly so long as you are less than 36 weeks and have a docs note and re taking bubba on the plane under 2 months... it's not recommended but, my friend was in the same position as you. Her sister set a wedding date in the Seychelles whilst she was pregnant and they had to fly when he was just 7 weeks.... it can be done.
Just focus on you and baby and tell your bro you are putting it on hold to ease his mind... if you fall then it must just be down to you guys having an 'accident 'now the stress of trying has stopped! (if you get my drift...sneaky i know!) i'm not advocating fibbing of course... |

| I would definitely keep trying hun. I wouldn't be able to start using bc while still wanting a little one -- what if one of those months was 'the' month?
But good luck with whatever you decide -- it's definitely a tough decision.

I need to see what state of mind I'm in in a coupla months. How did you friend cope with a 7 weeker while away? x |

I must admit, i think that long haul would be easier with a younger baby as they just sleep rather than a more active one?
We went long haul in Jan on honeymoon and there were lots of little bubbas on the plane on the way to Thailand and Oz... i kid you not, they were AS GOOD AS GOLD! perfect, didn't even grumble just slept! the only kids that kicked off were 12 months+. You will be fine so i would seriously give it a go!
Wait a couple of months and see how you are feeling but you would cope okay with a baby on the flight i reckon, especially if there is a crowd of you - everyone would want to hold it to help you out!
You might only need to take a 1-2 month break just to avoid being heavily pregnant?? what do you reckon?
he's your brother and he loves you, he has to understand how important this is to you |

Anyway, this might be a PG symptom - my depression and paranoia! x |

I know my friend flew to Florida with a 3 year old and a newborn and she said that was hard going BUT only because of the 3 year old who wouldn't sleep, kept being a little sod and wanted so much attention!!!
All the good things are pointing to you trying!! |

I might just well take u up on that offer though I have a family the size of a small country's population so you'll have to join the q of potential baby sitters.
Anyway dude, you'll have your own little mite to contend with in June, about 5-6 months old judging by your symptoms ... |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I've been in your situation last year and it was BIL's wedding. As he is DH's only brother, he made the decision that we shouldn't ttc beforehand as they were getting wed in Canada. I resent them both sometimes as my SIL is now pg. She is due 3 weeks before my babe would have been which makes it harder still
My sister got wed this year and asked me to be one of her bridesmaids, but I told her that I was ttc and that was reason I was saying no. She understood completely and I was her witness instead.
You have to do what is right for you |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Hey hun - if I were u I would keep trying, but not 'trying' if you know what I mean. Everything happens for a reason. This approach could even help getting the BFP as u won't be thinking about it as much.
If you do end up having a baby before u go, taking them away should be no problem. When we went on our honeymoon there was a newlywed couple with a 8 week old on our flight to Mexico. They were fine, we chatted with them and they were having a lovely hol. If you do have to miss it due to being heavily pregnant and they're gutted - I'm sure they'll forget everything the minute they see their gorgeous niece/nephew.
However, if you do decide to wait, I think time will go faster than you think. We were ready to ttc in Jan 07, but my parents booked a trip for all of us to Florida in March 08 so we decided to wait. It was hard at first but before I knew it here we are and the ttc obsession has begun!
Go with your heart hun, whatever makes u feel happy xx |
