Anyone had a day21 blood test?

I had mine done at lunch. But having looked online, it seems it's best to have them done 7dpo - but I ovulate on CD17-18 of a 28 day cycle so it's more like 4dpo. Therefore, isn't it likely that it'll come back negative as there's not been enough time for the hormones to build up?

If it does come back negative, what's the next step usually?

Thanks, T xx

I'm Currently Feeling:

I had a '21 day' blood test last week - although had mine on 6 or 7 dpo (which wasnt day 21) as my GP advised me to come in about a week after my temperature shifted - ie. its only a 21 day test for someone who ovulates on day 14. Bit of a silly name for it really.

I'm not sure about whether the hormone levels will be ok at 4dpo, - I guess it's just one of those wait and see things. I know if it comes back negative, a lot of GPs do the same thing the next month as a lot of women have the odd cycle where they dont ovulate.

Dont worry though, wait and see what happens and take it as it comes.

By the way, I love your blog!!

Thanks for your response hon. I just wish GPs were as clued up about fertility issues as I was ;-)
