Conclusion:

Test at LooTime, it makes no darn difference!!

I had lovely postive tests last cycle and I tested straight away - I think it's more important to follow the instructions about not peeing for a good while beforehand and little fluid intake (but not fmu). Never got a postive until I read and followed this instruction. Good luck xx

How odd? surely body temp is just as good for getting hormone levels right? Plus i'd be wary of enzymes and stuff in your wee being damaged if you leave it to settle.

More importantly, what if you forgot and thought it was orange juice!!!

Goodness...that would be BAD! I have enough worry that a guest might try to use my pee cup for mouthwash....now you add that gem.

I've read that one mine too and on occasion have waited as I sometimes decant my urine to bring to work (it's true) so that I can use my Clearblue Fertility Monitor at the right time.

As for OPK's, I don't wait for it to cool down normally and had been having problems not getting a really dark positive. The last batch I bought of internet cheapies gave the option of buying different sensitivities so I asked for the most sensitive. They were the little green and white stick type and the packaging looked identical, but the suppliers handwrote "15 miu" on the label. I was a bit sceptical about them until I got the most wonderful really dark positive OPK one day, which lines appearing and getting darker, then the darkest and lighter again. It was wonderful to see and gave me a really good indication of my ovulation for the first time in 5 months.

Could be worth you asking for the same ones (they cost the same) but are just more sensitive. Oh and by the way, I didn't wait for my FMU to cool down when I got this good result so don't think it makes much difference at all.
