I just had it and it was real annoying! You can get it if u are pregnant and ive just had a mc. I also blame the fact that i was bleeding so long(im thinking that was probably a good enviroment for it to live) also the fact that i was always at the loo wiping due to blood. Sorry tmi but i really think that made mine appear or get worse

Yeah - I got my first bout after I had LO - I asked the doc what caused it and he said "pregnancy". Now it still lurks around but I usually manage to nip it in the bud before it gets too awful.

Bulgarian doctor comedy moment:

Me: So doc, why does it hurt so much when i have sex?
Doc: Because you have mushrooms in your vagina.

(At least he speaks English tho!)

Whatever you do, stay away from sugars, cheese and breads. I suffered with chronic yeast infections for years. I wouldn't wish them on My worst enemy! I used to sleep with an icepack between My legs and take shots of apple cider vinegar. Hang in there sweetie!

I used to get Thrush all the time, sometimes very very badly, always happened around the time of AF!

Canesten cream is very good, but remember to treat hubby too, otherwise he will just give it back to you...and it becomes a vicious circle trying to get rid of it!

It thrives on sugar, so try if possible to cut out all sweet things for a few days until its cleared up!

Its so common, but miserable when you are suffering with it!!!!

Thanks!! The cream already seems to be working a bit, thank god. OH is away at home for mothers day, but I gave him a call and told him to get something out there to treat himself too (he's not coming home until tomorrow).
