Just did a test and the faintest of lines came up if you put it up the window lol
so my question is - on the ovulation cheapies is the line already there inside and then just show up on the 'front' when you are ovulating or does the line only appear (even the faintest of ones) if you are beginning to ovulate?
Also i am aware this is very early for my cycle. Last month i tested from now and nothing happened but i missed the dark line so i am trying to test more early this cycle
If the line is faint, it means it's negative, but could possibly mean your nearing ovulation. I had never had a positive OPK test before up until this month. I'm assuming it's because i tested 3 times a day (10am, 2pm, and 6pm) until i got my positive. Goodluck hun

dont quote me as i may be wrong but no i dont think the line is there, mine are so lilly white before my ovulation that you wouldnt see a hint of a line even with a bionic eye.
mama2connor... how many months did you test for without a positive?

You may get a faint line throughout your pre-ovulation stage as you can be secreting small amounts of LH up to the surge which triggers ovulation itself.
That's why they say the test line should be as dark or darker than the control, which would then show the surge has indeed occured and that you will ovulate within 24-48hrs.
