Oh honey, I'm sorry, I've been wondering how you've been getting on. At least now you know the situation and can start on sorting things out. What's the next step?

Send me a pm if you need a moan/chat hon

Thanks guys - really helps to hear stories of people with PCOS who have conceived! Just difficult not to panic when it's first diagnosed. Need to call the consultant tomorrow who is going to refer me to a gynaecologist. Hope I don't have to wait too long!

Was on BCP on and off since i was 17 (now 2 because of my skin (now I know why I have bad skin too!) but had 3/4 breaks in that time and always got AF straight away and regularly. Typical that when i want to conceive it goes away!

What is the treatment for it? Is it just Clomid?

I just wanted to let you know that there is certainly hope!!! I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 16 years old. I am now 20 years old. At 16 they put me on BC to regulate my cycles and help with the pain and cyst formation. I came off the pill in January and we are now expecting our first little miracle!! I am so amazed and happy that we didn't have to have ANY medical help whatsoever to get pregnant!! I fully expected to try for the recommended 6 months and then have to resort to medical assistance but that just wasn't the case. I know it can be scary - especially not knowing anything about it or how to deal with it. Please try not to worry though, there is TONS that can be done to aid women with PCOS in having a child of their own!
