agnus castus..when in your cycle do you take it?

Just bought some Agnus Castus from Holland and Barrett confused over when i should take it in my cycle as e read conflicting info. Should it be all my cycle or from beginning to ovulation? Am i safe to take it woith Pregnacare as well? i've been taking 100mg of B6 but this doesn't seem to have done much, although i've not ovulated yet, thinking it might have made my cycle longer but not sure. Not sure what to take and what not to take?

I've heard agnus castus is only meant to be taken up until ovulation but definitely not after. Good luck!

I take it every day - but not sure if that is right! I think what it does is to balance the oestrogen/progestrogen levels so hopefully it shouldn't be harmful whenever you take it. But you're not meant to take it when you're pregnant so maybe that is the same for post-OV? Basically - I'm not sure but I take it every day!

I did some research and like 95% of sites said to take it the whole cycle but 5% said to stop when you ovulate. I'm taking it the whole cycle.

From what I understand it depends on why you are using it. Many people use AC to help regulate their cycles and make them less painful so hormonal rather than fertility reasons - in which case I think you are supposed to use it right through your cycle and for a minimum of 3 cycles.

Presuming you want it for fertility then you only use it until you O. Well, at least that's my understanding anyway!

I have a fairly regular cycle but it brought my O date forward by one day this month, but I'm not sure if I will continue with it because it caused me almost unbearable O pain as well.

It seems to get a really mixed response - I hope you have a great experience like Molly and are posting in the BFP section soon
