I recently read that age can have an effect and women over 30 can take upto a year for their bodies to sort themselves out after stopping BCP, and even longer to conceive .
I wanted to know as Im 34 and was on BCP for 19 years non stop!!
Luckily for me I stopped BCP end of March this year and had first AF 23rd April - which I was quite surprised about (33 day cycle in all)!
If I was you I would certainly have a chat with your GP - there is no harm and I know of many friends who have been put onto medication to sort out their cycles!
