I tend to agree with you here. I reckon as long as the test sticks are all in date you should have nothing to worry about. I have only used 7 sticks my last cycle and 6 sticks this cycle, so will end up no doubt down the line with a set of test sticks from two different boxes. I am definitely not going to let it bother me. It's worth looking at my FF cycles to see how varied my reading have been in my previous cycles as I found doing this helpful when trying to decipher my own.

So far I have not mixed any test sticks from different batches though (just for your info).

Just to clarify, I have used 6 test sticks on my current cycle and got my first PEAK today.

I keep my test sticks after I have used them and put them back in their individual opened packets and keep them with my monitor. I write on the outside of the little wrappers whether they read LOW, HIGH or PEAK.

So, tomorrow I will take a used stick out (probably one of the LOW ones) and dip it as usual into my FMU, before popping it into the monitor to read it. When it is finished reading it and I take the stick out, it will read PEAK. I know this for sure as I've done it several times before. The monitor is programmed to show the two PEAK's in a row, but I like to go through the motions to 'convince' the monitor that it is still being used as it is programmed. I will do the same the next day and I already know it will show a HIGH and the following day it will show a LOW. I just keep doing this until it stops asking for sticks.

It may not be necessary to go through the motions of immersing the sticks in urine and placing them in the monitor, but I want the monitor to register that is is being used as it expects. That way I believe it will keep a record of my cycles for future use as it is programmed to do that. I don't think it's a good idea to just stop using sticks after the first PEAK as it may confuse the monitor and effect it's future use.

Glad I could be of some help.
