My doctors appointment

So, i popped into my GP's, couldn't book a blood test straight away, so had an appointment with my GP today.
I told her my period is now 23 days late. She took a pregnancy test with my urine and it was a obviously.
She said, in 3 weeks time if my period hasn't arrived, then i will have a blood test. She said it's probably the pill still in my system and to 'wait it out' basically.
I'm rather disapointed to be honest.

Guess i'll have to just 'wait it out'

That just sounds so odd - can you not ask for another opinion? i know that when you have the injection it takes ages to get back to normal but the oral pill is normally okay? my gp told me that there was no reason to have a break when i was on the pill as it doesn't accumulate in your system - i asked her as i'd been on it for 15 years!

Seriously, i'd go ask for a second opinion it sounds like she was fobbing you off and that's really crappy

I was in the same situation when ttc ds after microgynon. It took about 6 months just to get an AF. Eventually conceived 2 years later. They wouldn't do anything until at least 12 months of ttc, then I had to wait to see specialists and go on a waiitng list for a lap. Got there in the end tho - 3 months after lap I had my bfp. Hoping it's gonna be easier this time round as wasn't on the pill for sol ong beforehand.
