TTC After Depo Provera

Hi all. Well my story is a bit long winded so i'll give you the cut version. I had an operation a while ago and my doctor advised maybe to have the depo to ensure i didnt get pregnant before it. I explain that me and DH wanted another baby and she said it wouldn't be a problem.
Well it is the bain of my life....I had one shot of it and was due another 28/12/07 which i didnt have, i have since only been visited by AF once and have had 2 false positive pregnancy tests.
Basically i would do anything to help AF come back on a regular basis, but my Dr's answer is to go back on the BCP for a few months!!!
Please help ladies....Thanks in advance

Hey when trying to concieve my last child it took a good 3 /4 months before my period was anywhere regular.....and in total from my last shot a year to concieve him, the month i landed a really good job actually hehe!!!
So try and be patient...i know it is difficult but hopefully your cycle will get regular soon. My doc did recommend i went on to pill to regulate cycle ??????
Em...not for me...i just continued bd and bingo.

Thanks Tansey, its so annoying being so out of sync as i am totally unsure of when i am ovulating. I am going to completely relax tonight with a chinese and some good TV and see if she shows up! i feel confident but not getting my hopes up until she arrives. I just wish i had never had the depo shot.

When I stopped having the depo injections and went on the pill my periods did start on the first pill break (the time before when I stopped having the injections but didn't start the BCP it took about six months for AF to come back).

If you do start the BCP make sure you get one that doesn't affect TTC when you stop it (have read bad things about microgyron on here).

Hope arrives and you don't have to do anything

Hi elm, thank you for your response. The pill i have been prescribed is the Yasmin as its what i used to be on, so will check that out.....I am going to wait and see if AF will turn up without it. I am getting all the symptoms (cramps, discharge-tmi sorry- and am moody) but AF seems a bit shy about making a grand entrance. Maybe it will happen soon Thanks to all of you..i'll keep you updated if she finally arrives.

Well AF still hasn't turned up, i thought she was going to as for the last 4 days i have been having mild-moderate cramps non stop plus cloudy discharge-tmi again sorry- I was sure this was it and my body was finally getting back to normal. I really am unsure about going back on the bcp as i dont wanna make the wait for my BFP any longer than need be. Sorry for the rant but i am so gutted that its not happening again this month. Especially after my false pos HPT and neg bloods. Damn that stupid
