i need a kick up the arse!!!

ok the long and short of it is that i have emetophobia (vomit phobia). it wasnt that bad while i was pregnant with my son, but in the last few years it has got BAD!!! as in OCD etc etc. i really want another child but i am sooooooo scared of morning sickness! its taken 7yrs to build up some confidence to start trying! i have got the ump anyway cause im 11dpo and still i know its prob a bit early but still! and im sitting here feeling a bit sicky!! !!! its soooo annoying !!! i feel so guilty cause i see everyones posts and feel bad cause im sitting here scared of a bit of puke and some of you are going through complete heartbreak!! i just need to shake out of this damn all consuming phobia!! i have tried CBT, hypnosis, light therapy etc etc!! sorry for the rant! i think i just need to get it out of my system now and again!!

Sorry hun! Phobias are horrible things. Have you heard of / considered Thought Field Therapy? I'm no expert on it but I have a friend who is a TFT Master Practitioner and he often helps people with phobias, amongst many other difficulties. Might be worth looking into if you can stand seeing yet another therapist!! Lxx

BTW when my friend first told me about TFT I was very sceptical but he has helped many people so...if it works it works. It's one of the techniques that Paul McKenna uses.

Also you might not get bad morning sickness this time round.....you might feel queasey but it might not be bad enough to make you sick!

Keep focussing on the positives of morning sickness, it's a healthy sign your baby is doing fine!

You're not alone, though i wouldn't say i have a huge phobia of it....being sick does scare me, and i'm no good at all with other people's sick. I do cope however.
I remember when i used to work in a nursing home and we had a bug there....'nuff said. That was horrible, though i didn't have the bug, i was sick through seeing it.....tmi i know.

Keep positive, and never be afraid to try a new remedy or treatment for your phobia, and remember you may not get morning sickness at all. for you
