What blood test?

Right, i AM going to go the doctors today
I've had two previous blood tests where i was booked in for a 'Fasting blood test'.
Since then i've done my google research and found the blood test i actually need is a beta hcg test .. is that right?
Do you think i will be able to just go into the doctors desk and ask for a beta hcg blood test, without seeing my GP first?

back to normal again. Still havent had af and the d & C was in march the 28th. But ive been reading that 4-6 weeks is normal. Have bd a few times without preventing. I wouldnt be sad if preggers(obviosly) but when my af arrives we are leaving it a few months and starting again as it will not mess my uni up(not leaving in middle of year etc).

Let me know how the appt goes
