Advice needed :-(

Ok, I got my first smiley on my clearblue this morning thing is, I can't see my OH till Wednesday well, Wednesday was the plan stay wednrsday till Sunday. How long will my egg hold out for before release do you think it will still be there Wednesday? I could see ny OH tomorrow but it's just so much hassle I have college classes and important work to finish... he has work

.. We've ended up getting into bit of an arguement about it at this rate were gonna miss it altogether this month *sigh*. * also girls my CM is very stretchy already *but with (sorry ti sound crude lol) snot like colour in it do you also get that pre-ovulation? My clearblue test was negative yesterday*

Hi Lucia,

Do you also take your temperature? For me my temperature rises as I ovulate and I then have 24 hours to have any chance of using that egg. My CM is stringy few days before my temperature rises so i have about 4 days of stringy CM with ov on 3rd day. I haven't done OPK's but i assume that they are only positive for 24 to 36 hours? If so, I think you are being very optimistic and probably too optimistic.

Some BD tomoz if you can get to see your OH sounds like the perfect way to solve the little argument and optimize your chances! Good luck

Hiya, once you get a Smiley, BDing during the next 48hours is time for conception.
After 48 hours, the chances are pretty low. An egg only lives less than 14 hours once its released and sperm needs and average of 30min to 1 hour to get up the tubes.
For successful conception, intercourse has to be done before ovulation and sperm has be waiting before the egg releases.

thanks ladys!, I think we are meeting up today so everything should be ok fingers tightly crossed!

mummy_blues:- I realised after you get ur smiley on clearblue you cant use the digital thing anymore I still have 5 tests left not really fair for the price you have to pay for it!

After you get a positive you will ovulate 12 to 48 hours later then the egg can live up to I read 12 to 24 hours and 12 to 48 (all tho 99% of my reading I've read 12 to 24 hours)hours after it is released.

I got my smiley yesterday evening too. It was using the last stick (lucky!) but after I ejected the book sign came up so I have chucked it away. So does it automatically stop working even if you get a smiley on your first stick from the pack or am I getting confused?

Even so, I suppose the extra sticks can be saved for next time if you need more.
