Coming to join from wtt

Hi everyone. I'm Danielle and I'm coming to join you here as I start ttc. I've been with DH for nearly 10 years and we've been married for nearly 1. We've both been losing weight steadily since xmas and have decided to start ttc while continuing to eat healthily and lose weight. We're both really excited and cannot wait to finally have our own family.

We are ttc at a fairly difficult time with my family as my mum was told her breast cancer was terminal last summer. She wasn't expected to live 6 months and although still here I am feeling very emotional starting this journey knowing that she may not be there at the end of it. For this reason we are keeping our choice to ttc from our families and friends so will be looking forward to the support and help I can get from the forum.

Welcome Geordiemoo!!!

I understand how scary cancer can be...my mother-in-law was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer in Dec of 2007. It spread to her lymph nodes, her liver, her back and pelvis bones, and eventually to her esophagus. We lost her just about 3 months ago on Dec 28, 2009.

It was and still is devastating to think about. She was a large part of my DD's life and she loved her with so much grandmotherly love. It was her only grandchild. In early Dec we exchanged gift lists to let everyone know what we'd like for the holidays. On the list she made she wrote "another grandbaby!" really big at the bottom.

I regret not giving her another one before she passed. But look forward to giving our future child her namesake.

I pray you get your BFP and that your mom's body becomes the healthy vessel it use to be. I have my fingers crossed for you and for her.
