Yeah I would never go back on Depo. My hair's gone really thin since I came off it too, so bit gutted about that. Hoping it sorts itself out but can't help stressing that there's something up with my hormones that won't just resolve itself. Had a thyroid function test and that was fine. Have made an appointment with GP actually to ask some questions if nothing else!

Glad you've got your gorgeous family, but do hope you get to have this baby. Will be thinking of you while you're waiting to test. It seems like the wait will go on forever doesn't it?!

Well hope all goes well tomorrow but guess will be more waiting for you while the results come through!

Yes I've been waiting years already with the unstable diabetes then for my periods to start again and now for them to settle down. So I just want things to be ok so that we can start trying, knowing everything's as normal as poss! The 1st month we tried, my cycle was short so think we BD'd at the wrong time. Then next month was a long cycle so we missed it again! I was pretty sure I ovulated last month judging from my temps, but don't know what the heck's happened this time! Oh well. My appt with doc is 1st April (April Fool's Day lol) so I'll let you know!

Hi BabyDeacon!
Yes I read too that mid-cycle spotting can be due to ovulation and be a good fertility sign. That's what I thought I was having yesterday, but today I've got a full-on period booo!

Nice to hear from another person with a similar Depo story! (Not that I'd wish these weird problems on anyone - it's just comforting to know I'm not the only one!) x

Hi Ladies,

I am pretty much in exactly the same position

i came off the Depo in January 09, arrived May 09. Was regular straight away...until December 09. Since then have been all over the place.

i would never go back on the Depo...i started a small thread a while back asking if anyone was ttc after depo... the results proved there are quite a few people having exactly the same problems..Just wish my gp was honest with me in the beginning.

Well wishing you all a lot of luck &

Lou x

Aww diabetes is a bummer. Well done on your great results though! Mine has only come down to 8.1 but that's good for me and has literally taken years of hard work and trial and error! My wonderful consultant said that some women just never achieve the perfect level that doctors often ask for, and I can only be expected to get to the best level for ME. That was so refreshing and gave me new hope! So am praying that if I get pregnant it will be a normal and healthy pregnancy.

Me too on 5 injections a day and have been taking the 5mg folic acid for over a year.

Yeah the temping is tricky isn't it? My cat and/or husband end up waking me every night or morning so getting undisturbed sleep to get an accurate reading is hard!

i must say that ive never had bleeding mid cycle so i wudnt know sorry im no help there
its strange that when you go for the depo injection they dont say anything about if you come off it and wot happens, i was only 16 when i first went on it all i knew was it stopped your periods and you didnt get pg, then once i had my daughter i had it again for 6 yrs, and still didnt know about the issues you get after it but after my son i sort of found out about it once we were planning to have anohter

but i wudnt ever go on it again me and dh have said after we have onther one he will go for the snip
