Hello, lurking again, saw you had posted, so thought I would pop in. Why not have a peek in LTTTC and AC, there are a few clomid ttcers in there that will know the ins and outs. When's your referral?

Don't get too excited, there a LOT of LTTTC'ers, myself included that got FS appts and they just sent us for tests then told us to come back in 4-5 months - it's quite likely that they will do that with you at first, although at least it is a step in the right direction! I had my appt in October after blood tests diagnosed pcos, then sent for hsg, trans vag etc and then told to come back in 5 months

It was particularly ironic as I don't ovulate at all so I don't quite know what he was expecting to happen in the mean time! Fortunately my kind GP took pity and gave me metformin in the meantime. For all the good that did....

I was the same - blood tests (some of which came back abnormal) and they said "see you in 4-5 months".
You have to push and push and push, hope you get sorted soon

As for clomid, you get 5 tablets per month and you take them on specific days when you get your period. For example I have to take CD2-6. It should then induce ovulation. If you don't have periods (grrr pcos....) then they will prescribe provera which is progesterone. You take that for 5 days and it should trigger a period so you can start the clomid. However you can't clomid for too long as extended use has been linked with cancer, plus you have a greater chance of multiple births (10% chance twine, 1% triplets)

The info is fresh in my mind, mine were prescribed today
