Evap lines v Faint BFP??

Hello, how are you all doing today?

Now, obviously, I havent just taken a hpt in the middle of the day at 10dpo because that would just be silly!!

However, hypothetically what do we think it means if you get a test line within the 10 minutes, which is not only v faint but also v thin compared to the control line? Can't decide whether I've got an evap line, a BFP (dare I dream?!) or just another case of the tww hallucinations!! Do evap lines tend to be thin??

Any input would be welcome. Thanks chicks!

Lxx

It's very rare to get a false positive, it sounds very promising to me!
Test again in the morning with FMU x

Hmmm that is an interesting question, if it came up within 10 mins then id see it as a bfp line but if its thin then id maybe think it was an evap.

The only way to really know for sure would be to test after a couple of days.

http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/c8797

I have quite short cycles (25/26 days) so 10dpo for me is the day I expect AF. Took my test on a cheapie, got a very faint sortof as you describe.

I knew I was pregnant, but waited another 5 days before getting the serious positive

Not too early, but be sure to test again in a few days to allow hormones to build.

Evap lines tend not to be the colour of the test line - if i leave my opk to dry and look at it i see a faint line but it's colourless.
test again in a few days - good luck!

Hi Margerle.

Congratulations on your pregnancy!! I see there are only a few weeks til you are due - how exciting!

I'm trying to tread the thin line between positive thinking and not getting too hopeful at the moment. Will post again when I've retested.

Thanks very much for your message Lxx

Thanks for your input Tansey - I think I will mentally log this one as "inconclusive" and retest in a couple of days as you say.

Congratulations on your engagement btw!
