Ovulation Test Sticks Query

Hi All

I am using the ClearBlue Ovulation Test Kit.

According to the instructions it may be "easiest to test first thing in the morning". However, after reading this forum and other bits online this seems to go against all other advice, which suggests testing in the afternoon when LH levels will be highest.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks
x

hi, sorry not going to be much help, I just use the Tesco 7 pack, card style sticks as these were so much cheaper than the fancy ones, but on these you pee on them in the afternoon, otherwise morning pee is more concentrated and will give a miss reading - but I would asusme you follow the rules on the box, as all types of tests are different I suppose! goed luck!

From what I've read the LH builds up during the day, so apparently won't show on the morning wee. Most websites I've looked at recommend between 10am - 8pm, with 2pm as the optimum, so I test at 2pm. But maybe yours is different? I'm not sure about your test as I don't use that one either.

Hiya, I don't know why but the clearblue easy digital tests are different and allow you to use first morning urine (FMU). I have posted this question on the forum before and no one knows why the tests are different than most of them that suggest you test between 10am to 8pm. Other girls on this site say they have used FMU with clearblue and they get positive smiley faces just fine. I am using them for the first month this time and am using FMU as well since the directions say its okay! I think it has to do with the sensitivity of the tests but I don't know for sure.
