First Time OPK user QUESTIONS!!!!

okay so....
opk yesterday....control line & barely barely barely noticeable faint start of a 2nds line.
today, (i did it right after i woke up...so i guess that may be why...now that i think of it but...) a pretty apparent 2nd line...not as dark or darker than conrol, but definately getting there.
that was at....idk...noonish maybe. but i wanted to see my progress so i did another one @ 7..........and my 2nd line is way fainter than my control and the last test....

questions:

1. is it because of it being done right after waking up that it showed a darker line & now its not?

2. how many days before ov does it start showing a line at all?

I'm not a "pro" at this. . . but from my experience, my positive opk's show up 2 days before I ovulate, but some people get them up to 4 days before. I have also been told that it is best to test in the evenings because that is when your LH levels will be the most accurate. Hope that helps!! Best of luck to you!!

was your pee really diluted when you did the 7pm test? it seems weird that it went from a darkish test line at noon to a faint line at 7pm, not much time has passed... Are you using ICs? I hear on IC's the test line ramps up over the days leading to OV getting darker and darker until it is the darkest. I have no idea though how many days and it probably varies person to person. try testing again and make sure you havent drank or peed for a long time beforehand!
