All of our lovely ladies have given you very good advice already. I just wanted to say welcome and reassure you that you're def. not alone. Girls here are so sweat and helpful I'm sure you'll be schooled in no time at all. All you need do is ask. Shame about the doc not being more helpful, he could have at least pointed you in the right direction. There are lots of websites out there that are loaded with info. There are a few favs on this board top two are probably, fertilityfriend.com and twoweekwait.com, among others. I like babyzone.com loads of helpful articles on that one too, plus a super easy calendar that you can use. Google is my best friend these days. LOL
Lots of luck to you on your journey, and I look forward to see you around!!

Hi Butterflies, good luck with TTC. I shall be interested to hear how you get on with charting. I've been TTC 5 months and have decided to wait for a bit longer to chart (maybe I'll start at 6 months...). I've joined Fertility Friends but am just charting my cycle length at the moment.

Giving up the ciggies isn't easy. I gave up about 6 and a half years ago when my body clock was going into overdrive and I thought my OH was ready to start TTC, needless to say it took another 6 years for him to decide he was ready to TTC! Then he decided to propose and wanted us to be married before TTC - I made sure it was a short engagement!

(I try not to feel cheated that I could have carried on smoking for 6 years LOL!)

You can start charting now if you don't want to wait until next month.

We got married in December - 11 weeks after he proposed! Having said which our first date was just over 11 years before that! Working on the number 11 I was kinda hoping we might conceive 11 days or 11 weeks after the wedding but that didn't happen. I'm now hoping it won't be more than 11 months! Perhaps I'll start working on what other events will have happened 11 times before we reach 11 months, perhaps after the 11th meal out together (oooh, this month might get expensive ). Does this make any sense, am I rambling or just completely mad????

Hi hun!
We started to ttc in Jan, and got pg straight away, but then mc'd at 8 weeks! We are now in the first month of ttc again after mc!

One thing that really helped me understand my body and cycle was using OPK's - and it seemed to work that first month! I would recommend using them to get an idea of when you OV!

Hope you get a BFP soon!

Not rambling, it all made sense to me!!! Well hubby and i have been together a little over 2 years, was less than a year before he proposed, and a little under 2 when we married. Whirlwind i know, but have had some bad experiences (violence) and know i couldn't be any more in love and i'm happy i'll be bringing a baby into a very stable and loving home.

Good luck with TTC, perhaps it won't be your that comes on an 11, perhaps the actual birth?!?

for your loss, must have been very hard.
Thanks for sharing your experience of OPK, we've talked about buying these, though without buying them i'm a little unsure how exactly you work hem, perhaps someone can give me an insight? When etc to test.

I've got my fingers crossed for a for you too
