When to start using OPK

Hi,

wondered at which cycle day i should start using opks?
last cycle was 49 days, but im assuming it was this long because i had just come off bcp.

would you advise starting to use them on CD 8ish just to be sure that I catch the surge, as i have no idea how long my cycle will be?

Thanks!

I tend to use them from about cd8 because I don't really know what's happening with my cycle after coming off BCP. I've also started using the CBFM this cycle which has just added to the obsession - as soon as I got my first high reading, I started on the OPKs again!

If you're going to start this early in your cycle though, i'd recommend getting some internet cheapies so you don't go bankrupt!! Good luck

Sounds sensible to me - starting early until you have some idea what's going on at different points in your cycle!
Good luck!

Yeah I tend to start around cd8 - if you have a regular cycle and know your O date you can tend to cut down but to be safe it's just as easy to start testing early
