Drinking whilst ttc

I think my DH is taking this all a little seriously. As I don't have a clue about what my cycles doing at the moment he has banned me from drinking anything! It's Saturday night and all I want is my bottle of wine I have nicely chilled in the fridge but instead I'm sat here with my cuppa

I feel so old!

I was told that at this stage one or two glasses of alcohol won't hurt at all! But I know what you mean - I haven't touched anything since my +ve OPK, although had a fair few pints of Guinness and Magners in Ireland the other week! Was never drunk though! I've even cut out caffeine!

I'm a nightmare, we only started ttc yesterday I think DH is worried about something going wrong again so is trying to be extra careful this time. *whispers* I haven't cut out the caffeine though but don't tell him that

I'm terrified of something going wrong again - which is why no caff and no alcohol since +ve!

Its awful ttc when you shouldn't have to be! I would have been 15weeks today!

I know what you mean. I'm so sorry for your loss hun. I would have been 24 weeks on Monday. I would never have imagined this time 3 weeks ago we'd be ttc again.

Onwards and upwards though hun. We will have healthy babies!

My loss was only at 8 weeks, and that was hard enough, I can't imagine going through what you have! Huge hugs!

Yup - babydust to both of us for healthy sticky babies!

I haven't really cut anything out to be honest. I'll drink up until I ovulate but I don't tend to get drunk often anyway. After ov, I might have an odd glass of wine here and there but that's it. I only intend of cutting out completely once I get my BFP or if I'm still here in 6 months time!

As for caffeine, again I cut down on the tea after I ov but would still have a couple of cups a day.

For me, it's everything in moderation, otherwise this ttc thing would drive me insane!

Take it from a long term TTC'er - you can't put your life on hold sweetie, otherwise you'll end up a bitter old woman like me

I drank half a bottle of wine last night - perhaps even more. At the end of the day I really don't think it's going to make much of a difference, as long as you keep it in moderation
