Hi,

You don't have to enter your temperatures on Fertility Friend but you'd be using up your free trial period if you wanted to use it. I've only used that one so far.

I've only just started using it properly so am finding my way around. You get a graph if you're recording temperatures not sure otherwise. You get a calendar and it predicts when your fertile days are and detects ovulation from the information you put in.

It picks up on patterns over time and becomes more acurate the more you give it I think. It tells you about it here -

FF can use various methods to predict Ovulation. For example:

This is last months Chart.
I use a CBFM - so the "H" are my high readings, (which you notice are in green) - Also you can record results from OPK. And your CM and your temps, it will combine all this information to predict what day you ovulate. But you don't have to use the temps, it can go on your other stats. This was just to show you that it takes a lot of things into consideration.

Good luck

FF will predict your cycles if you tell it your AF and CM, but you won't get any info on ovulation unless you do BBT. If you enter an OPK positive you will get a greent traffic light, meaning you are potentially fertile, but you don't need FF to tell you that if you've got a glowing stick in front of your nose! FF will only give you a solid Ov indication if you are taking your temps. xxx

Only try if you are comfortable with it. there's no harm in trying it for a few days/weeks and seeing how it makes you feel. I started a week or so ago and i'm really happy to be learning lots about my body i knew zilch about before. you can always stop if you don't like it!
