TTC (slightly too impatient!)

Hello everyone, I'm new here and I just have to say I love this forum!
Met DH 10 years ago, happily married for 4 years 11 months, next month is our 5th wedding anniversary and we decided to start trying for our first last month, after our wonderful vacation in magical Bali

I've been given GO! by my Gyno (although he thinks I should put on more body fat by eating more nuts and avacados since I run quite a bit) - BMI 19.0, 28 turning 29, blood tests normal, no history of STDs nor miscarriages, never even had an UTI, PAP Smear and ultrasound every year (required by my health insurance) fine.
Been taking BCP (mercilon/marvelon) since 9 years without any implications or side effects. Took my last bcp feb 19th, AF came punctually on 23rd and I rushed off for a pack of clearblue digital ovulation kit - the ones with the smileys :O) and started testing on the 8th march CD14. Been BD-ing almost every night or morning since we were in bali and back.
Until today CD 21, no smileys have appeared so no indication of ovulation from CD 14-21 yet. Maybe I've started testing too late, but I had a week of extreme fatigue.
Had a terrible week CD14-19, almost falling asleep in front of the computer at work. And one instance of bright pink watery CM on CD17, turning dark spotty brown till CD19. Stomach was completely full of gas and water retention although no change in diet. Felt like someone was jabbing my pelvic bone on some days. Loss of appetite the same week, all I wanted to do was to sleep and urinate the whole night long...
Not sure if the OVK from clearblue is sensitive enough for LH or I started testing too late/too early. AF is due in 9 days, I always had a verypunctual & regular 29 day cycle before starting the BCP. MIght try to get one of the ultra sensitive OVK that will measure LH from 10mIU and a CB and sit around and wait till next weekend when AF comes/won't come. Either way, wish me luck and I would love to hear if you gals are also ttc after the combi mini pill

Welcome! And crikey - you are organised!!!! I tried for 6 cycles before I got my arse into gear and started using OPK's...

Wish i'd started earlier as they showed me that I OV'd later than expected. What time of day are you testing?

hiya, i work on morning and evening shifts, so I try to get tested every morning after waking up and after work when I complete my evening shift and get home. Package say absolutely no peeing 4 hours prior to testing, and restrict liquid intake, but its easier said than done.. I don't think I followed the rules at all...Clearblue mentions it will only detect a smiley for LH level above 50mIu....
Gyno has advised me to reduce caffeine intake (I used to drink 4 cups of latte per day, now down to one cup at breakfast). Also been taking folic acid 400mcg since last month, daily, with the prenatal vitamins, it seems that folic acid is highly important for a healthy baby and should be taken before ttc.
Praying and hoping....

Also, my boobs are completely sore since Sat... and the dark skin around my nipples have kinda mutated into strange bumps, had to wear a extra thick padded bra today..
some strange symptoms, could it be the pill withdrawal symptom?

Not sure about the withdrawal symptoms - when I came off the pill I regulated quite quickly.

I got midstream OPK's off ebay that are 20miu. I tested around midday then late evening. Was getting really down with all the negatives and finally got a positive on the morning of CD16 with a negative either side. If I tested once a day I would have missed it! I've also been temping on FF and this backs up when OV happens...

Good luck!

OH MY GOD! You are a genius!!
I just went off and bought two packs of OPKs- a cheap one and a Clearblue one. Tested with the cheap one first and heart almost stopped beating when I saw two dark linkes!!
I double checked with the Clear Blue ONE AND I saw a SMILEY and I felt as if the WHOLE wide WORLD smiled at me!!

3 weeks after my Last BCP and I am finally Ovulating!!! Wish me luck and pray for a miracle
