Checking Cervix (TMI)

Any expert vagi-prodders out there?
If you check your cervical position and notice that it's high, around what cycle point would it normally start to get lower again? If you get PG does it stay high or does it get low again whatever happens?

At the mo I can only just feel my cervix on the left side - on the right it doesn't appear to be there... (May be they put it back in the wrong place after my C-section )

It's supposed to get lower after O. However it's different for everyone, mine goes low the day after O but rises straight back up and stays that way until AF, totally confuses me.

During AF it's supposed to be low, then it rises and at ovulation it's supposed to be high, soft and open. After ovulation it's supposed to be low but if you're pregnant it rises and stays high, firm and closed throughout the pregnancy. However it's not an accurate measurement on whether or not you're pregnant because the rise can happen a few weeks into the pregnancy.

I suppose one consolation for me if AF comes this month is that I'll have another month to try and figure out what all this pipework is doing! Why don't we come with instruction books?

HAHA I say that so much.... when kids are born they should arrive with a manual that self-updates each year and they should come with spare parts

If only we had instruction manuals....but on thought we know how confusing they are as well and its just easier to prode poke push buttons and see what happens )

ok...and me with a biology degree too (although it was Neuroscience and thatis the other end of the body!!!)...how do you know if your CP is high, medium or low/ And if it is soft/firm,/open/closed?

Do you have to figure it out over months?

Apparently you have to get to know your own body and it takes time and several cycles. I know it's low when you prod and feel it easy. High is easy as it's difficult to reach and prod. Also firm is like touching your nose and soft is like touching your lips.

There is a website that is quite good I will try find it and post in a min!
