Maybe if they stop producing cheapies! I wonder how many HTP's are used each day in the world.

hangs head in shame at POAS this morning at only 6DPO....

The thing is...we all know that the article is so true...how many of us are really expecting a at 3-8 DPO??? And yes I started testing at 3dpo too

But the mind though it may be strong and intelligent is crap when it comes to waiting for 2 weeks post-ovulation!!!

It's funny, when I read the article yesterday I thought it made alot of sense and I definitely wouldn't test early this time and see the I know I'll inevitably get. But now I'm getting my first ever highs on my CBFM, we BD last night and I just know that when I get to the 2ww that article is going to fly out of my mind!!

Thanks for posting that link...was interesting to read!

I think I might possibly be able to wait until 14DPO each cycle...because I'd rather wait than see a BFN! But.......big but (!)...............DH is less patient and is so desperate for me to test that any willpower I try to cling on to just flies straight out of the window and 10 minutes later I find myself staring at a wishing I hadn't done it.

It reminds me of the guilt of haing a sneaky cigarette when you've told everyone you've given up!!!!! (Although I don't do that anymore, not now TTC). You KNOW you shouldn't be smoking/testing...but you do it anyway. Then afterwards you feel crap. Not that I'm saying testing is bad for you like smoking.....................

I'll shut up now!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck everyone... and if you want to test then youre intelligent enough to make the decision for yourselves!!! We all know the score!

Another reason why you shouldn't test early is the risk of chemical pregnancy! Which is when you test early - get BFP but then get your AF on time! A very high percentage of fertilized eggs fail to implant or miscarry with the first AF, and normally you would never have known you were pg, as AF is on time. But if you test early - you could set yourself up for this heartache! I never knew this in my first pregnancy and got BFP 3 days before AF was due - I didn't miscarry til 8 weeks BUT I will not be testing early this time JUST INCASE its a BFP then I lose it with AF! Couldn't face that heartache!

Its not common - but it can happen! And for the sake of 2 days!
