Ignorant Doctor not listening to you !!!!!

Hi im 19dpo, 7 days late for my period and looks like its gonna stay a no show, i have loads of EWCM ( have to wear a pad- sorry TMI), headaches that are worse in the last two days, peeeing, constipation, RLS, spots, dizzy, nausea/hunger, cant touch tea, coffee, wine and i love my wine and italian coffee , so bloody tired i cant even last an hour shopping - now come on that is just not right !!!!!!!swollen belly and look about 4 months, out of my normal clothes, boobs are killing me and are one size bigger, swollen and sore.

I have been told by my doctor that it is almost impossible for me to get pregnant because i am 43' , Well she wouldnt listen to all i have listed above and insists its impossible - BITCH !! so i searched this forum and i found
on another thread that not everyone gets a positive result on test and are pregnant and go on to have a very healthy baby, but have realised that maybe its because some of us have doctors that just done trust what we are telling them after all who knows our bodies as well as we do.
I think that i am going to go to the hospital (fertility) on monday and tell them what my doc has been like and ask them if we can pay for a scan to be done then at least i will know either way, hopefully the right way !!
Will keep you posted.
If anyone else has been ignored by their GP then come on girls put your names below and i will add you we have to make a stand and see if we can get something done.
Tina

did your doctor give you a blood test? Also, have you gone through menopause yet? If not, then isn't there always a chance you can get pregnant?

Not sure how to take your posting but here goes LOL !!!!
NO IM NOT GOING THROUGH THE MENOPAUSE thank for asking!, i had all those tests before we even tried to conceive, i am producing like a 20 year old on the inside according to the fertility specialist but my doctor ignores what they have said and just read me THE book for over 30's . I was an athelete until my early 30's and still eat and treat my body the same i am extremely fit and they were suprised when they asked me my age.
And yes there is a good chance that i can get pregnant, but to be honest with you i am pregnant but apparantly am one of those women that dont have high hcg levels and it wont show up for a few more weeks yet at the moment i am approaching 5 weeks, but am keeping it quiet until i can get a :BFP:, i was like this with my daughters ( 18 and 16), from a previous marriage so keep it the secret please !!!!!

Hiya, I found your post interesting and thought I would reply with my experience. It seems these days that there is no 'right age' to have children. I felt somewhat criticised by my doctor for being young, as I'm 21. I went to the doctors when I decided to start ttc a couple months ago as I know I have PCOS and he seemed to sort of brush me aside, he was very blase about it and said that many women with pcos get pregnant naturally and said I wouldn't be offered any fetility treatment for at least a year - especially because I am young - I might add here that my partner and I have been together for 5 years, I have a degree and we both work and live in our own flat... I pointed out to my doctor that one of the main reasons we decided to start ttc quite young is because I have pcos, which he said was sensible but I still sensed he didn't take me as seriously because I'm young.

So I guess you can't win eh!

Well it certainly looks like you have all the right symptoms. Any chance that you could have ovulated later than you think?

If you are going for a scan, if you can hold out until you are 6 or 7 weeks then you should hear a heartbeat. I just know from a previous pregnancy where I had a scan too early how paranoid not that little sound can make you.

Oh my, I didn't mean any disrespect. After posting it, I was thinking "I hope that didn't come across wrong". Thanks for not taking the post in a negative connotation.

The reason I asked about the blood test, was because those are more sensitive than urine tests, and I figured that that should be the first thing your dr should have done. So if the dr didn't do that, then I would have been highly concerned about him/her looking after your best interest. I would at least think that your dr would be be doing frequent tests just to see if your levels are rising and monitoring the rate.

I asked about menopause, because if you happened to have gone through early menopause, then I can see why your dr would not think you are pregnant. I would have asked about menopause for anyone since by your post, your dr seems so sure that you are not preggo. Now, if you have not gone through menopause, then your dr should definitely be taking your pregnancy symptoms seriously.. Because, if you haven't gone through menopause there is always a chance of pregnancy.. (sort of like if a pre-teen girl has not gotten her menstrual cycle, then there is no chance of pregnancy..but once she gets her menstrual cycle, there's always a chance she can get preggo if she has sex)

Hiya Hun and thanks for joining my thread.....
If i were you i would get a second opinion because you can say that you have been trying for two years and you would like to be investigated and get help ttc, there is no excuse for a doctor brushing us off for ttc, and at my age and as fit as i am, well i am just frustrated, angry , insulted and so pissed off with my bitch of a doctor that i now cannot wait to get some medical authority figure to say 'Yes' you are right you are pregnant ( god i look it as a start off) and then i will go into my doctors sugery and say to that bitch - ' so this is what you said could and would never happen at MY AGE !!!!!!!!!!', and watch her face change i will be reporting her for defo .
Sorry thats my rant over with ,
How are you and how far into your cycle this month are you ?

Hiya Hun, Yeah may have ov late so not too bothered at the moment as i know my period is not going to show, dont ask me how i just know, i have sign of it, no bad cramping only really very mild cramping very rarely and just know that i am pregnant but the regional midwife for my area says that yes it seems as though im right but she's really wanting to know how far gone i really am coz i look 4 months at least LMAO , and not that i havent had a positive test which suprised me as i thought you had to have one but she said your mother didnt have them and neither did your grandmother so im not bothered by getting one now .
Good luck to you Hun i wish you all the best

Hun dont worry about it , i did think cheeky cow but then laughed
My doctor didnt even suggest doing a blood test coz she couldnt wait to get me out of her office i was wasting her time is the impression i got so i wont be going back for care from her i will go to see the old guy doc instead after we have gone to the fertility hospital and see if we can get checked over in there on monday, but No definately no sign of menopause, my pregnancy symptoms are just too full on for that LOL. The midwife did say why do you want a +hpt after all your mother and grandmother never had them! and you know shes right so bugger it ! Im pregnant and thats the end of it !.
I wish you all the best Hun
