If FRER's don't get evaps then whats happened?

Hi ladies

I don't post here often as i try not to come onto the forums too much or i get obsessed lol

I took a FRER yesterday and when 10 mins were up it was still showing negative so i put it to one side and carried on with my day - around 2 hours later i walked past it and glanced and there was a pink second line not like an evap where its blotchy but a proper straight line as thick as the control - i know i shouldn't have looked but i'm sure most of us are guilty of it!

I'm annoyed though as i'm not allowed anymore tests until the 15th (i'm due to start between the 12th and 14th March)

Wish i hadn't put it to one side now as its driving me mental! I took another FRER in my last cycle that is still showing negative with slight pink bits at the edges - just don't understand - i've never known a FRER get these kind of lines at leats not on the same day.

I was 11 DPO when i took the test - do you think it could be a early bfp or a very evil evap?

Hi, i think its looking positive for you!

I have taken 5 of these tests in the last 2 months and im a right stick it to the side and keep checking it kinda gal lol, but i have never had any change on them whatsoeva. I took one earlier today as im 3 days late and there is still nothing but the stupid one line shining back at me

Good luck taking your next test and hopefully it will appear immediately

It's a tricky one, but they say you should discard tests after 10 minutes as any lines that may or may not appear are false. My positive tests (yes I still have them

) look nothing like when I peed on them!

Why are you not allowed another test? Could you not do a cheapy one on the sly? 11DPO is still earlyish, so there is still a chance

Hubby doesn't want me becoming obsessed with testing when my AF is so close - i can understand his point especially when i always want FRER's and digitals lol

I don't really like cheap ones - i've had some really convincing evaps off those that were pink and within the timelimit, i still get them on the odd occassion just to give me something to obsess over lol

Here a picture of it, its been abit abused as i can't stop picking it up to look at it lol

It was in its case but my camera is useless so i had to take it out.

Hi there, thought I'd add my two peneth! I did a FRER on Tuesday and got a BFP within a few minutes! Its faint but its there. Ive had a BFN on another FRER and a BFN on a cheapo test. So im not particularly a fan of FRER's at the moment! AF is a day late now so the first test could have been right but im not that hopeful.

Anyway I'll get to my actual point.........A friend of mine did a test (don't know the brand) a few months ago, no line came up after ten minutes, she shoved it in her bag as she was at work, went to chuck it away at home and there was a line on it!! That was about 4 hours later, she did another test in the morning and got a BFP!! Soooooooooo in a nutshell it can happen, although only testing again will tell you for sure!

Fair enough, by cheapy I did mean superdrug, boots cheapy etc Not IC's as they take far too much scrutiny! 4 days away can feel like a lifetime though can't it? I really hope it's 4 af free days and you get a really obvious

I can't see anything, but I am rubbish at line spotting (am colourblind, so I always blame this factor when looking at tests)

Thanks ladies - it would be nice to get a BFP now as its my 25th birthday on the 14th! That would be the best birthday present ever - especially as we've been trying for 8 months now
