Why can't I get preggers?!

I'm feeling sorry for myself today, to be fair it's probably the only time I have really felt terrible except for my chemical in Dec09.

I just don't get it, I know my cycle I ovulate CD15/16 I know by my ewcm, I do clearblue opk test to be sure (I've got it down to only needing 1 or 2 tests a month cos I rcognise the signs). My luteul phase is always 14 days.
Hubby's sperm is normal after vasectomy reversal and we have sex at the right time so why am I not pregnant? I'm starting to get stresed I'm 38 and with each month I get older. Before we started ttc I did a fertility test which said my eggs were fine, I'm lucky enough to have a regular cycle and ovulate each month so I don't get it.

I feel bad cos I already have 2 kids with me and I know this is only our 4 month ttc but I really wanted to be preggers again before Emily's anniversary a week Saturday-Emily is my first child and she was born sleeping 11 years ago at 24 weeks. I hate this time of year and I thought maybe cos it's such a hard time for me I'd be lucky enough to fall pregnant to balance it all out!
Sorry to moan and be pathetic, I also made the mistake of realising had I stayed preggers in Dec when I had my chemical I'd have a bump by now.

Oh well I'm going to but some more pre-seed, opks and some soft cups and I'm going to until my hubby begs for mercy!!

All tips on making babies gratefully received!!

Here's hoping we all get our soon

Hi Sukisam

I can understand how you're feeling, I'm in a similar situation. Everything seems to be working perfectly but it's just not happening.

Fingers crossed for you x

Hiya Sukisam

My DH had his VR in June 1999 and I conceived in September that same year, but just like you, for the first couple of months I was so depressed coz it hadn't worked first time!Oh how naiive was I?!!!
Four months isn't that long, although I know it feels like FOREVER!

Has your DH had 2 or 3 samples taken? We had too because the first 2 were borderline then they increased. Maybe it takes a little time for the little swimmers to realise they are no longer on the dole and have to work for a living again?!!! LOL!!

Try to keep the PMA, it WILL work! If all your tests are okay then just keep and you will soon get your !

I know have 4 kids since DH's VR, so I am living proof!! GL!

Thanks guys I appreciate both your replies I know I just need to keep the faith. Logically i tell myself it'll take longer, I'm older and his sperm is getting used to having a job again!!

Mummytofour- he only had one sperm test but it was reasonably normal motility, vol etc. There was a % of abnormal sperm but it was only 12 weeks after the op so I guess to be expected. Wow 4 kids since VR I'm inspired now!!

I've ordered my pre-seed, opks + soft cups and i've had a word with myself so I'm back on it and feeling better.

here's hoping for all round!!
xx

I think its best that you and your husband see a fertility specialist or get a sperm count and motility test like this one:
http://www.early-pregnancy-tests.com/spermtest.html
Many men don't get their normal sperm count back until 6 or more months after reversal:
http://www.infertile.com/infertility...y-reversal.htm

There is no reason why you can't pregnant with the clearblue OPK, it is 99% accurate and doubles your chance of conceiving.
Good luck!
