Baby shower ideas: for a friend

I just posted this thread on the third trimester section, but I know all of you could help me as well!

We plan to throw a surprise baby shower for a friend this weekend. We are really short on time and need to whip something up real quick.

I was trying to gather some ideas for "do it yourself" favors for the guests. Any ideas? Anything that you had for your own showers and loved?

Any other ideas with regards to decorations and games are mossttt welcome! Cheap and quick ideas will be given extra stars

Thanks in advance for all your inputs. And yes, you can gimme some sympathy as well, for throwing a shower, but not being pregnant myself :P

Not very original, but 'guess the flavour of the baby food' goes down well. Or not!!!!

yaa ive played that one before. And felt really sorry for the baby who has to actually eat it cause its quite yuck :P but its a decent game. It was on my "consideration" list. Thanks.

guess whats in the nappie. Get a pack of nappies and put various things in there (nutella, choc spread, you get the gist!).

Also guess the birthday - draw a calendar of the due date month and ppl can put their names on a day each

guess the size on mums bump - all you need is a tape measure!

I'm going to a baby shower on Saturday & also had one last month where we played some of the games mentioned above.

We also played a game where each person has 5 little pegs on their clothes. Through out the day if you hear anyone say specific words (like baby or mom or mother etc) then you take a peg from that person. Whoever has the most pegs at the end wins.
