Advice needed on pre period spotting

Hello ladies,

I'm usually more of a lurker than a poster, but I need some advice as I am driving myself crazy!

AF is usually like clockwork, but since TTC, especially in the last couple of months, I have has spotting 4-5 days before Af due, carrying on until she arrives. Then I have a full period.

Should I be worried? Should I talk to a doc?

Freaking myself out....

Hi,
I have just replied to another thread similar to this....i am experiencing the exact same thing...for the exact same time...no idea what it means but so relieved to know its not just me,...I have said it would be nice to hear from someone who has experienced the same symptoms but has gone on to concieve.

Wow.. that is so weird because ever since I've been ttc I've been experiencing the same thing! I'm actually spotting right now.. due for AF this Friday and I've been spotting since last Friday (5 days now)

I wonder what it could be? I tried to google about it but keep getting contradicting results

I know what you mean, some say poss implantation bleeding, but AF arrives. Some sam bigger problems, but why only appear when TTC and not before? My temps are still high so does this mean I am out or still in it this month? So confusing.

So good to know I'm not the oly one!

Katy09 - AF for me is due Saturday so let me know how you get on!

same for me...although spotting kicked in ealier this month...i am due next Tuesday and started spotting today...wednesday...i suspect it will continue on now right up until AF...am so fed up of it...it has happened every single month for the last 4!

I keep being told that its not abnormal...and i guess having heard from you guys it cant be, but it doesnt make it any easier to understand.

this happened to me 2 cycles ago for the first time ever. I was so sure its implantation but AF did come a few days later. I guess this happens to some people, I am sure its nothing to worry about.

Has anyone had this and gone on to get a BFP?

Wondering if it rules us out early if it happens....

If you have come off the Pill to try to conceive that might explain why you are now having spotting. I would mention it to your doctor, any abnormal bleeding should be investigated. In my case the spotting was caused by endometriosis, but there are many potential causes including hormone imbalances (low progesterone). It could also be implantation bleeding and then if AF turns up then perhaps you have had a chemical pregnancy. If it happens every month then see your doctor.

Been off the pill over 2 years, actively TTC for 7 months. It has been happening for at least the last 2, but then I have been very aware of noticing these things more!!!

If it happens next month, I'll get myself to the docs....
