Cervix Position & another dip!

Hey ladies, today my cervix is high, firm & closed! CM is a bit sticky (stretches maybe a one cm or so)

I *think* I ovulated Sunday 7th, so would be 2dpo today! (According to my chart look; http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2d51b9) Also, temp has got lower AGAIN instead of going higher, cold that mean i DIDN'T ovulate on Sunday??

I thought the cervix was supposed to be low, dry & closed after ovulation - NOT high and wet/sticky?

Anyone have the same experience?? Thanks x

I should have added that AF is due in 5 days (Sunday) so is that why my cervix is high, firm and closed? Thanks

Hi oxfairy

Unfortunately it's hard to read anything from your chart as it's not complete for the month. If you did ovulate on Sunday as you suspect then a dip in temperature during your LP is nothing to worry about unless you're expecting AF, then it would usually means she's on her way today/tomorrow However if you're not due AF for another 5 days then you would expect to see a dip because of her until then.

I wouldn't be too concerned about your CP now either, generally after ovulation your CP will move back up and close, and it does not tend to have any bearing on whether you're pregnant or not. Mine changes from month to month, sometimes it stays low and open all the way through my LP other times it moves back up and stays there until AF arrives.

Is your LP usually this short? If you ovulated on Sunday and due AF next Sunday that would make your LP 7 days long which is very short. Usually LP lasts from 10 days onwards. So it may be that you ovulated earlier than Sunday

My own suggestion would be to see this month through, and if you aren't luck enough to get your BFP, start charting your temperature from CD1 and then you'll be able to see when you did ovulate

Hope that's some help to you!

Hey Mel It's all very confusing.. i used an online calculator that told me i o'd o 28th feb (would make me 9dpo today) but then people said by looking at my chart my temps seem to be pre-ov so prob haven't o'd.. but then someone said it looks like i could have o'd on sunday (cd20) cos of the rise in temp.. but now my temp's gone low again!!

I had a chemical last month and think it's messed this cycle up a bit as i really don't know when i o'd.. all thought i had EWCM about 4/5 days ago (as u can see from my chart).

My LP is usually around day 13/14 (hence why online calculator says feb 28th) so yeah, LD 7 is short isnt it? Hmm it all depends on when i did o.. and i really don't know. If i go by my EWCM then it was around 5/6th march.... any ideas??? LOL!

I'll prob just end up doing as u said - start temping from next cd1 x

Mandy - it's irritating isn't it? I entered data into my FF last night about chemical last cycle and it shifted my whole cycle to day 26 today - aint got a clue what happeneds there so i removed the data and now i'm back to cd22.... STRANGE! xx

I had the same last month.

I had a chemical in January and it totally messed up my February cycle which ended up being 31 days long and FF changing my ovulation date from CD21 to CD27 then back to CD19!

My pre-ovulation temperature is usually around 35.9 going up to around 36.6 after ovulation. However, everyone's temperatures are different so it's impossible to say whether you've ovulated if half the temperatures are missing, it may be that you have a particularly low pre-ov temperature and those on your chart are pre-ov!

The online calculators are only any good for telling you when your ideal ovulation day would be, they can't predict it precisely.

Carry on taking your temperature and see if there's a definite increase, you may not have ovulated yet. It's possible that your chemical last month has had the same effect as mine did.

Keep me updated!

Hey Mel, just thought I'd keep you updated - my temp's still erratic, cd23 today so should only be 4/5 days left this cycle

Anyways, here is my chart as of today: http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/2d51b9 x

Hey up Oxfairy

It's very strange, your temps would suggest that you're pre-ovulation because they're so erractic.

Do you take your temperature at the same day every day?

Yeah i do. 5:20am every morning. I set my alarm especially for it lol! Granted, it's pretty cold when i wake up cos i don't keep the heating on overnight.. but at 5:20am today it was 35.60 and i just done it again to see if it's made any difference with the heating on and now it's down to 34.65, so room temperature doesn't seem to affect my temps! Very strange! x

How odd!

Okay, all i can suggest is to continue taking your temperature and see what happens, it's going to be one of 3 options:

1. You did ovulate and your pre-ov temp is very low
2. You didn't ovulate this month and AF will show on schedule
3. You're going to ovulate later than usual and AF won't be due for another week or so

Lets hope it's 1 or 3

Fingers crossed for you xxx
