Increased heart rate / Palpitations!!

Last night I was sitting on the sofa watching TV, just had a lovely chinese meal - feeling really relaxed (but very cold, been cold for days). Then all of a sudden my heart rate starts increasing and I feel like I can't quite get enough air into my lungs. It wasn't anything drastic, but enough for OH to ask if my heart was racing before I even had the chance to mention it to him! He was able to tell as I had my legs up on his lap & he could feel my legs moving more because of my faster breathing It lasted for about an hour I'd say.

I just wondered if anyone else has this around the time of ovulation? As this could be a sign that I did/am ovulating (messed up cycle so not sure if I have already OVd or what!

The only time I've ever had palpitations was when I was pregnant with my son - I had them from 4 weeks until 38 weeks, but as I don't know if i've ovulated it can't be that lol!

Thanks xx

Congrats on your BFP

I also had it when pregnant with my son, but like I said - idk if i've ovulated this month yet I thought I did on the 28th Feb (going by a calculator online) but then people looked at my chart they said all my temps seem to be pre-ov temps!

Otherwise I would have been 7dpo yesterday and surely that would have been too soon for that symptom? (Had AF-like cramping the day before yesterday and put it down to ovulation instead of implantation because of my temps on chart.. what a mess huh? LOL)

I think my body is just totally messed up!

lol Yes what a mess! Its hard to depend on those calculators as our bodies are so different..I'm sure you know that. Maybe you had late ovulation..or even early ov??

I really don't have a clue LOL! I've had cramps for 5 out of the last 8 days (starting the day after what I thought was my OV day..) but then I had EWCM 3&4 days ago which could point to late OV.. but then the palpitations last night indicate that I ovulated around the 28th and they were caused by implantation like with my son (between 6-10po) UNLESS they were a sign of OV but i've never noticed them before!!

BDing has been a mess cos we dont know where the heck we are so all in all I think this cycle has been totally messed up and I think I might just stop for the rest of the cyle and try again next cycle cos i'm getting really stressed and can't make any sense out of it all!

I'm sure I'll get there eventually hehe!

You will, yes Just try to do the ol "BD at every other day" kind of thing just in case.

I honestly thought I was out this cycle too..we only BD'd 3 times in the *fertile* time, so I was shocked!

Good luck and keep us posted I'm excited to see what happens with your cycle.

Unfortunately we can't BD every other day as OH works away Managed the day before and the actual day of my calculated OV then off he went to work lol. Then I had EWCM 3/4 days ago which indicated to late OV and he was away again so I made him travel home, the earlier he could get here was last night though so it would have been too late if I did OV 3/4 days ago , but we BD again last night just in case and then he went off to work again!

Don't think he was too impressed with me making him travel home for one night of BDing, especially as I didn't actually know if I was even fertile

He won't be home until Friday/Saturday now!

How many dpo were you when you got your positive? Did you get any EWCM about a week after OVing?? x

Aww that sucks. But hey, at least he has a job, right? lol.

I was 12 dpo when I first tested, so I don't know if it would've shown up earlier..maybe. I didn't have EWCM long after ov..only a day after, I think. Then my cm pretty much went away as it usually does after ov. I don't get much ewcm anyway, which is why I used Conceive Plus and it worked the first cycle!
