when I was at the doctor, she said she wouldn't do the blood test at the moment unless their were unusual fluctuations in my weight as that's one of the real indications. otherwise, she'd test in a few months along with the other hormones....

Was it your usual Dr you saw?

Yes, saw my usual GP. That's the best place to start. x

Know what you mean about thyroid testing, CapitalChick. My cousin's wife reccomend I do this. But thing is, I DO ovulate (got positive on sticks and get pains and have regular periods). There's no signs I have thyroid problems (eg. weight gain / loss; mood swings; bad skin etc). But might look into this. x

Pants ... mines hopeless ....
Still on the plus side I don't think he would remember me so I'll get away with 'stretching the truth' about how long we have been trying for

See, your cycles are good! wonderful news! You went at a good time too, since you just started your cycle. I was poked again today...argh, I hope for the last time unless it is for a blood test for pregnancy!!! oh I can only hope!!! How much $$$ is the SA if you don't mind me asking. Here it is like $120.00 US. My DH's insurance might cover it but he isn't sure. I know mine does not. Does any insurance????

Do you mean, how much does it cost to test? It's free! The UK has free healthcare for all - the wonderful National Health Service (NHS!). You'll hear some of us moaning about it but ultimately, it's pretty good and we're damn lucky. You have the choice to go private but most try NHS first. x

OH! I forgot about that over in the UK, I thought it was just Canada for some reason! That is really great! It does suck when you have to wait for ages to just see a doc though....

IF YOU ARE HERE IN THE UNITED STATES, YOU CAN FIND A ANY LAB TESTING CENTER AND THEY DO SPERM ANALYSIS FOR 49.99. OTHER PLACES I LOOKED INTO WERE LISTED FROM 120.00-270.00. NOW THAT CRAZY. THERE MIGHT BE PLACES LIKE THIS ALL OVER THE COUNTRY. LOOK INTO IT PLEASE IT'S SAVING ME MONEY. "ANY LAB TESTING"

Girl, I wish I had B&B to kick me in the butt and got my ass to a Gyno sooner than what we did. It was years before I finally took that leap, I just thought all those years were just bad timing? lol

It's great news. Although my AF is regular too..but I wasn't ovulating..hmmm, this is the bad side to google (loved your comment about that too btw!) I guess everyone is different. Good luck, it sounds like everything is going forward for you and thats fantastic news!
