Anyone ttc after coming off the pill?

Hi everyone i was just wondering how many of you are TTC after being on the pill? Or if anyone has got a BFP after being on the pill? Also wondering how long you waited after coming off and how long you have been TTC or how long it took you to get that BFP? Sorry about all the questions

I was on the pill for nearly 6 years and the last pill i was on was YASMIN which i was on for about 3 or 4 years!

I took my last pill pack and had a withdrawl bleed on the 22nd Feb til 26th Feb then didnt start the new pack i would have started on the 26th Feb. Then started trying on the saturday (27th) had a little more bleeding that day (probs cos of not startin new pack) then had nothing since then. So does this mean im on day 13 of my cycle now? Going off the first day of the withdrawl bleed i had? I am so confused!! I know i maybe should have waited until i had a proper cycle before trying but i keep hearing that some women are more fertile when coming off the pill and didnt wanna miss the opportunity! Also i have no idea when i ovulate but going off a 28day cylce it should be tommorow shouldnt it? or within the next week if my cylce happens to be longer? Sorry again about all the questions im just so confused!

Thanks and lots and lots of :: to all of you who are TTC! xx

Hi - I am came off the pill last April and we started trying straight away with out waiting for a cycle. I soon realised my cycles are 35 days and have therefore tries for 9 cycles so far!
I am no expert but yes, the first day of your period is cycle day 1. The average time to ovulate is 2 weeks before you start period again but it varies foro women to women. The only way to be sure of when you ovulate is tracking your cycles by temping or OPKs etc...

The best thing to do is read on the forums here - you will learn so much! Good luck and I hope you TTC journey is a short one x x x x x

Thankyou i just found this site lastnight and think im addicted to it already haha! Yeah i think this cycle ill just carry on as i am, trying to guess from CM and the next cycle start using OPK's, although hoping i wont need to!! I am a little scared though because if i dont get AF i wont know wether its cos of preg or cos of irregularilty after pill!
Can i ask how long did it take before you got your first AF after coming off pill? Thankyou and i really hope you get your BFP very soon! xx

With my DS, I had been on the pill (microgynon) for 9 years. I stopped in the Nov and fell pregnant in the Feb.

This time round, I stopped the same pill last May but, due to medical issues, we only really started to TTC Dec/Jan time.

It can take people different lengths of time. It took my sister a year to conceive after stopping the same pill as me but my friends and SIL fell pregnant within 6 weeks of stopping (one of them had twins!!). Unfortunately my SIL suffered a M/C last Sept but is now pregnant again (brother told me today).

Good luck to you and fx you get your soon.

Yes this site is fab - and very addictive!! It's just nice to chat to people who are going through similiar things and feelings.

I stopped the pill and had my first withdrawal bleed - then AF arrived again after 35 days exactly. It's been like that ever since...lucky my cycles went regular straight away but still no BFP!!

Good luck hun x x

I know, I am so chuffed for them. They were both devestated when she M/C - they were actually on holiday in Spain at the time which made it even worse! Although, she said she had a feeling that something wasn't quite right (they already have a 2 year old so she had something to compare it to)

They are playing it cautious just now and only telling immediate family until the scan. It can also give hope to people who are worried about leaving it too late to have a family - my SIL was 38 last month and has fallen pregnant within 3-4 months to trying each time.

Hey Wananbaba - sounds like you and I are in exactly the same boat! I finished my withdrawal bleed after last pill last Saturday 27th and am now TTC straight away although have no idea what my cycle will do (had 13 years on the pill microgynon to start then over the last 3-4 years Yasmin) So DH and I are just enjoying ourselves with the TTC and wondering if anything will happen! I think I will get a bit confused at the end of this month waiting to see if/when AF appears!

Good luck to you xxx
