1) when is af supposed to come after opks predict the lh surge?
2) been having odd dreams, i cant remember much but for the past few night, i been dreaming i was pregnant.. had a few positive preg test dreams, and last night i had a dream that i was in the car driving on the road my fiance lives on, and kept seeing feild fires. like a feild was on fire in 2 separate places, so i called 911 and let them know.. and then it went right back to me being pregnant.. weird..

in relation to question 1 - I think it just depends how long your cycle is and when you ovulate - I have a 28 day cycle and ovulate around CD14 therefore it will be about another 14 days til AF is due

my cycle has been out of whack this cycle, its going on 70 some odd days. im losing count. and hope. but i had a positive opk ..very dark positive.. on feb 19th. im just trying to figure when to expect af.

I have no idea about OPK usage so I'm not even going to attempt commenting on the 1st question but I know last month I had some crazy dreams too.
Last month DH and I were NTNP and towards the end of my fertile days were really trying but I think it was too late. I had extremely odd dreams the whole 2WW.
I had dreams about being swallowed up by a title wave, dreams about getting a + HPT and in my dream figuring out how to tell hubs, a dream that my children were grown and I never got the chance to have another child and my oldest son told me his wife was pregnant and instead of being happy I was jealous.
I had ALL kinds of weird dreams, I told my husband about them every day but as soon as I got my period - they stopped.

I think it's just our subconsciousness' way of dealing with the overflow of emotions we feel when TTC. It's an exciting time but also a little scary (no matter how many children you already have) and add the fact that our hormones are going CRAZY during the LP anyway and I think we're all bound to have a few weird dreams. Hang in there girl, how many more days until you test?

RE: question 1, it depends on your Luteal Phase hun.

From what I've read, your LP will always be roughly the same, its your OV that can be early/late depending on stress etc. If you have done OPKs in the past, you take your last cycle day i.e. CD30 and minus the day you got your positive OPK i.e. CD17, so technically your LP should be around 13 days therefore if the following month you get a positive OPK on CD20 your AF would be due around CD33, give or take a couple of days for error.

Generally they say that most women's LP is between 12 and 16 days so, lets say your LP is 16 days and you had a positive OPK on FEB 19, your AF would be due around MAR 7 - this Sunday (roughly)

Yup- you gotta know how long your LP is to know when to expect AF after ov. MrsH1980 is right, the LP does not vary as much as the time before ov. My LP is 13 days long.

I'm glad this thread got started today because last night I had a dream that I was sticking an HPT into my mouth like a bbt. Then I was like "Why isn't this test giving me a BFP?" and then it occurred to me that I had to pee on it, not stick it in my mouth. So funny!

A normal luteal phase is 12-16 days and you generally ovulate 12-36h (say 1 day) after a positive OPK. That would mean that AF should arrive 13-17 days after a positive.

However OPKs are not the most reliable tests because they are measuring a surge of a hormone that is normally there - that is why you can get a line which is fainter than the control often and it does not count as a positive - and because of this people may presume they have had a positive when it is really a false positive or else it may just be a misinterpreted positive. If you do not get AF within 13-17 days of the positive then you must presume that either there is something wrong with your luteal phase, or more likely the OPK was a false positive.
