Heart Warming Conversation with Aunt In Law...

So today I finally told my husband's Aunt that we are ttc! She was super supportive and explained to me that she herself spent 13months ttc with her 2nd daughter (who is now 12)! She talked to me about charting and temping and about how devastated she was every time she got AF and told me that she had a chemical pregnancy (which she wasn't aware of the term for it until I asked her if she got a BFP then a few days later got AF and she told me yes)! It is just so nice to know that I have a family member that can relate to what I am going through! We actually talked for like 40 minutes about it! I even told her about softcups and everything else that has advanced in the last 12 yrs since she tried lol! She obviously didn't have a forum to vent on so she must have felt so isolated! I'm so happy that I found BnB! I just can't believe that this whole time I never knew that about her! I have known her for 5 yrs!

Just wanted to share!

Aw, it's lovely to talk to some one you know about this stuff.

I have had several long chats with my mum about ttc. She was trying for over three years to have me, a year au naturel (sp?), a year on Clomid and then finally two rounds of IVF. I can't imagine how hard it must have been to go through that with no other women to vent to. During that time, all her best friends were having babies as well as my aunt. After having me, she went on to fall naturally straight away with my sister!

She has been a great source of comfort to me and made me realise that six months isn't really that long and that it will happen in it's own time.

I would love to have spoken to my mil about it as well as she had five children and charted for a lot of that time, but she passed away a few months before I met my husband.

Oh thats too bad! I have found that I am actually a lot closer with my in laws than what most people are! My mom is my rock but I still don't think she really understands what I am going through! Which is really odd considering she had endometriosis and I was the only child she managed to have before she had to get a full hysterectomy!

I was just completely surprised to find out that my AIL has been through what I am going through!
