Clearblue fertility monitor- can you ovulate without the "peak" symbol??

This cycle I am using the cbfm to track my fertility for the first time. My periods are starting to become regular after coming off depo. My last cycle was 31 days and I got AF on 14th of feb.

I got my first high reading on day 9 and have continued to do so with no peaks I was wondering if anyone ovulated and maybe even got their bfp without it being detected by their monitors. Any comments will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Yes, you can ovulate without a peak. The monitor can take a while to get to know your cycle so it may not have decteted your LH surge this month. The best way of confirming ovulation though is to temp.

Have a look over on the CBFM thread, it's pretty long! But there are quite a few ladies who have conceived without getting a peak and a couple who got a BFP without getting any highs. Good luck

Thank you, Tomo. I will check out the thread

Only time will tell if I did ovulate! Either way I think temping is my only accurate solution in finding out if i ovulate so thanks for the suggestion... I just find it hard to keep still and stick a thermometer in my mouth since my normal reaction is to spring out of bed to turn of my alarm!

Ive also just started using the monitor for the first time this month, and am on day 8. Have read so many good things about it but have also read that the first month it is just getting to know ur cycle so not to expect any peaks! So i would just make sure u bd through the high days :-)

Thanks for the sharing your experiences of CBFM with me.

- Good luck to Linny- it does take the hassle away from knowing when to BD and I hope you get those peaks and bfp at the end of it.

- Thank you Kerriean for letting me know about the monitor getting to know your first month- that takes the pressure off greatly. Better get the other half in the mood tonight for BD..!
