So any experiences with this?

I read you can use opk's as hpt's. I am currently 6dpo, and took a opk randomly, and there is a faint line. Is that from my lh surge coming down? Or could it mean something else?
why do we do this to ourselves! LOL

Oh, you are naughty! I have heard that OPKs can show you're pg but I would use a HPT as well to be sure. Sounds positive though! Good luck

No, no, no, no and no. It doesn't mean your are pregnant, so please whatever you do don't get excited just yet.

I read extensively on this only yesterday and learned that your OPK's can show a test line at any time during your cycle because it can detect LH hormone which can be present in all women after ovulation. This hormone is extremely similar ... but not the same as the hCG hormone.

I got a faint line on an OPK too and wondered the same thing as my AF hasn't shown yet either (due on 24 April). Thought I would try one for fun and got a feint line. I got all excited and also used an HPT but got no line at all.

The only way to tell if you are pregnant testing with sticks is to use an HPT. They say that once you have this, there is no harm experimenting with OPK's and you will most likely find that they will be positive too. But the most important thing to note is that the test line on the OPK has to be as DARK as the control line. My understanding of it is that if it is any way lighter than the control line, then it cannot be read as a sign of pregnancy.

Don't do what I did and build you hopes up. It's simply not fair on yourself. If you want to know if you are pregnant, then just use a HPT. If you used an OPK because of the expense, then use the cheapie HPT's .. they cost the same.

Hope this helps.
