Shooting pains on my left side

Hi all. I'm currently 5dpo and have no symptoms of pregnancy. I think I'm 5dpo anyway, since this is my first cycle off the Pill and it is a little difficult to determine a cycle this first month.
However, I have had sharp shooting pains in my left lower abdomen, near my hip but lower and on the inside. It feels like it felt when I was on the Mirena and used to get cysts on my ovaries -dull ache, turning into sharp pains sometimes.
I told my hubby, and he said that maybe I'm pregnant. I told him that I'm pretty sure that my uterus isn't over there!!!
I've been to the toilet for nr2 twice today, so its not due to constipation.

Any ideas?

i had sharp pains which felt around my hip area but i think i was more than 4dpo. wish i had kept a diary for this cycle past >__<

Maybe you are ovulating later than you thought?

I thought of that too, that I might be ovulating, but somehow I don't think so. Dont have much CM going on. Plus it really is quite sore, think I'm going to make myself a cup of tea and go lie down for a while. Don't think its a good idea to take the ibuprofen pain meds I usually take, don't want to spoil my chances.
But just in case I am indeed OV, will try to do the BD tonight! (SBTW, If it really is a cyst, BD usually is really painful for me, so that is one other way of knowing!)
