hormonal imbalance and BFNs?

i was talking to my soon to be sister in law, she is a mother of 2 and she told me that with both her girls, she didnt get a BFP. with the first, she didnt find out til she was 8 weeks. and with the other, she was having bad morning sickness that lasted all day & she took 3 hpts and they were all BFN, she fainted the next day and went to the hospital and a blood test showed she was almost 10 weeks pregnant!! and the doc told her she had an imbalance of hormones and it threw the hpt off. has anyone else heard of this situation?

No but my friend done a test and its only shown up bfp and her af is 3 weeks late! She done one when she was a week late and it was bfn! She is 7 weeks! Im 2 days late for af and got bfn thought witch was gonna show hes face yesterday but never i wish she would or i got bfp! Is your af late? X
