Dealing with PG friends & family while TTC

Hi!

I am new here - been TTC for 1 1/2 years - just started Clomid last month and am hoping it works.

Today we received a phone call from my DH's brother and sister-in-law (who also happens to be my best friend from growing up) and they are PG with their second child.

I am so excited for them, but can't help but be jealous - am I being selfish? I feel terribly guilty about having a big breakdown today and feeling like it's just not fair.

How do you handle or deal with all the PG friends and family members while you are TTC?

I know the exact feeling hun.

It's a selfish outlook, but I always think "well, if I was pregnant now, she would totally be stealing my limelight!" which is I guess a pretty weird way to look at it, but true! Then just remind yourself that it WILL happen for you one day. Good Luck x

my sister in law decided that when i got married we would try for a baby together. she got pregnant and i didnt.

everytime i saw her i thought she was showing off and wanting attention. everything she felt she would talk openly when we were all sittng in the living room it drove me nuts.

the other frustrating thing was that she knew my period date better than me and was counting it every month.

of course everytime my period was due i was stressed and did not need to be called 24/7 to be reminded of it.

finally i was able to get rid of her harrassing me when i got pregnant and i never heard a word after that.

keep a strong mind and your day will come when you will have the limelight.

I know how you feel. I saw a friend of mine today at the mall with her 13month old daughter and she told me she is PG with her 2nd. Then I see other women who are PG walking round the mall and I tell my fiance and he knows. His sister is PG with her 4th one.

i know how you feel, my best friend has just had a baby whois now a month old, she managed to drop on in her first month of trying and her pregnancy and labour were in her words a total breeze. I feelguity, but i feel soooo jealous! good luck though hun, try and keep positive, it will happen for you too, the you can drive her nuts!!!
