I am so sorry. We love our soldiers sooooo much but these are the days when military just plain sucks. Deployment for a year is enough, by itself, to keep you in tears for days on end. But to being trying so desperately for a baby BEFORE deployment rolls in, well, that's enough to send you right over the edge. You have my prayers and HUGE HUGS right now. I would def recommend relaxing. Try your very best (and it may be impossible) to not stress over the TTC and the deployment. That stress may be your worst enemy at catching an eggie. Take these last 3 weeks and absorb every second with your soldier. Give him lots of good moments to take with for the next year. And when AF shows (and we are praying that she doesn't) and your there alone, just pm me. I can't be your man but I know what you're going through. This completely breaks my heart and I'm really sorry. {{{{HUGS}}}}

Do you use opks. I bd the evening I got a smiley face on clearblue digital, the 2nd day I got a smiley face, and the day after it turned negative. I got a bfp the month I did that. Oh, and I didn't have my usual evening baths as I thought it may wash some ewcm away. Those were only things I did slightly differently month I got my bfp. Good Luck!

I'm so sorry honey! You can start to temp on CD5. I usually start that day myself, as my temps are weird during my period anyway. Good luck. Things will work out.

So sorry to hear what you are going through/about to go through. I've got everything crossed for you.

To be honest, I wouldn't bother temping this month, as it won't really help, and could stress you out, and it confirms that you have ovulated, so kind of like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted. As this is your last shot at trying for a while, it can't really help. If you don't catch the egg this month, maybe start charting whilst your DH is away, and get to really know your cycles and temps, so you're good to go when he returns.

I think your best course of action this month is digital OPKs, preseed and softcups, and make the most of every BD opportunity.

Thanks everyone! I never expected such a tremendous amount of support from people I've never "met.'" I'm sitting here typing in tears, a combination of being sad about the current circumstances and being happy about having all of you amazing women pulling for us. To answer everyone's questions...I've never tried preseed, and I was debating whether or not to do so this month. I'm confused about it. Does it actually assist the sperm or does it just not kill off as many as traditional lubricants? I'm really interested in learning more before it's time to use it. Secondly, we are definitely going to try softcups this month, it can't hurt. And lastly, we have used OPK's for the past couple of months but we haven't had any luck, even bding every time I get my surge. I'm wondering if my surge lasts longer than I thought and we are still bding too soon, but we are still going to use opk's in conjunction with everything else we are doing. I think I may just buy in bulk online so I can test from cd 7 all cd 21 just to make sure I only have one surge and I'm ovulating when I think I am.

Oh and we've also decided to make sex a priority every other night at the least, and during O time, once a day. I'm really hoping the combination of these makes all of the difference!
