He barely looked at me and sounded so disinterested I got all flustered and forgot all the questions I wanted to ask

All I really wanted was a little re-assurance and a 'come back in 3 months and we'll run some tests'

Mine told me I was still very young (2 so there shouldn't be any problems there. I didn't ask some of my questions too, silly me. And I was a bit worried because when I was 3, my appendix burst and I had peritonitis which my mum told me can affect fertility. I've read loads of differing reports but when I asked the doc, she said she'd never heard of it and moved on!! There's tonnes on the internet about it so that was a bit worrying!

Thanks everyone. Sometimes all the waiting is just hard - it's like my life is on hold a bit until that BFP comes.

I've got endometriosis so my doctor was keen to move things quicker than she would usually - she usually says a year. So in one way I'm lucky...although not so lucky having endo! I think some of it is just luck with the doctor you get. I used to have a guy who was horrible - really patronising and dismissive. I'm sticking with this one for now.

I dont know much about peritonitis and infertility. But my mum had did have peritonitis when she was 19 and had severe endo and went on to conceive me when she was 22 without any trouble.

I meant to message you the other day actually as noticed it was similar to mine. Shame we're not cycle buddies too!

How long have you been TTC for Farie?

Hi there,

Thank you, mines from our last holiday in Verbier, its actually my OH in the pic!)

Been off the pill for 6 months and actively TTC for about 3 (as Lu put it .. 'shooting in the dark' before that!)

It really does take over your life, it seems that everything is in slow motion until the arrives. I spent so long trying not to get pregnant, now all I want is to be pregnant!

That's the bit that kills me, I can't imagine the money I spent on HPTs when I was at uni hoping and praying for a and look at me now! I wouldn't have stressed anywhere near as much then if I'd realised!
