HELP! Progesterone and BBT - 2 questions

1) I am a newbie at charting and have just started my first chart with fertlity friend. I know that taking Progesterone can affect your BBT so how do you know whether you have ovd or it's just a rise in temp due to the hormones?

2) My doctor prescribed progesterone about 12 months ago because i was having some irregular bleeding. (to take 14 days afer cd1 for 10 days) I also bled whilst 10wks pg with no1 and I was on the same progesterone pills then until end of 2nd trimester.
So when I was re-prescribed when TTC I took them for 3 months then kind of *forgot* one month, and I had a normal AF anyway, so I stopped taking them, as I didn't have any other symptoms. But last month I had bleeding on CD18 for 5 or 6 days and then AF appeared as usual. SORRY THIS IS A LONG QUESTION!!!
Now I have started charting and I don't know whether it would be better to take the progesterone or not. I don't really trust my doctor - I'm living in Eastern Europe where health care is about 20 years behind the West - I'll happily give details if anyone wants them!

HERE IS THE QUESTION!!! Sorry girls for being long and tedious....

So, for my first self-charting cycle, do you think it's a) better to take the hormones and have a better chance of a healthy luteal phase, or b) better not to take them so I can figure out what my body is actually up to?

I would probably go without and see how your body is first

If progesterone is not perscribed to help you conceive for any known problem I would ditch them & see how your cycles go...at least 2 cycles! Thats what I would do anyway.

Best of luck
