CD 1 today .. starting temps, 2nd month of OPKs, LP Question?

Hi All

Well got my Af today ... first 32 day cycle ive had 6 so far from 27 - now longest 32 days .. i was doing OPKs this month but when i got to CD 19 and hadnt had a positive i stopped useing them, Thinking my average cycle around 27 - 28 days thought it would be to late to catch egg .. so guessed maybe OPK didnt pick up Ov .. i think this is my problem im bding and then once it comes to CD 20 im not doign it as much maybe one or two times . I have sat here for 3 hours trying to work out my Lphase ( am starting temping tomorrow) i have gone back over the months and tried to work out if my LP was 10-16 days . and over the last 6 months and worked out that i beded on all 6 days during the last 6 months for example sep say 10 + 14 +16 the OCT 11+15+17 so cant really figure out how long my LP is ... can you ovulate on one day in your LP or does it onyl start after ovulation ... im so trying to figure this out .. Please share your thoughts thanks so much

Hi there....

Your LP is the time after you ovulate, I got my AF yesterday

so this is my 3rd cycle of temping and I would recommend it to pinpoint ovulation, I never had a positive on an OPK and was starting to get worried that maybe I wasn't even ovulating, last month I O'd on CD14 and this time it was CD16 and my LP is 13 to the day, well for the cycles I have been temping anyway!!!!

Hey there the PP is correct, your LP is the time from when you ovulate to when AF arrives. My cycle was typically 28-29 days, and my LP was 13 days. I've never used OPK's so I can't really comment on those, but I can tell you that temping for me worked. I knew exactly when I ovulated. Honestly, 2-3 times during that period is enough. Thanks girls for your replys ..im gonna stop off onthe way home and get a BT and start from inthe morning .. Where will i get info on what my temp should be before ov , During ov and after OV ... ? i know you have to take it at the same time everymorning .. so a month of setting the alarm for a saturday and sunday for me !
