Periods after implant removal how long did you wait!!!

Hey ladies had the implant removed 5 weeks ago had a bleed 2 days later for 4 days was really light, not sure to class that as AF or a period (any advice there would be great)
Also i was wondering how long you waiting for your periods to return, because since that bleed i've not had AF.
Thanks ladies xxxx

I had AF the day I had my Implant removed, then 26 days after (only had it removed in January so thats all the statistics I have on that!)

But I had AF throughout the time I had the Implant (the full 3 years) sometimes regular sometimes irregular. But 26 day cycle with 4 day AF was my usual before having the implant inserted.

It can leave your body in 24 hours (the hormone) but there are some cases with ladies not being able to conceive for a while after having it out - but heres hoping that doesn't affect me or you!

xx

I'm not sure, I think that might have been your period its best to speak to a nurse who can advice you better on it because not everyone's body acts the same, I had my implanon out 5 months ago but I was getting a form of AF while I was on it, the first two cycles were 40 days long and now they have become regular again at 34 days, how long did you have it in for? I'm not sure if it makes a difference but I only had mine in for a bit over 3 months.

no i didn't have AF through the first 2 years (was fantastic) but then started to get them once every few months, then i had it removed and another one inserted then i started to get them every few weeks for a few days.
after removal i had that one short bleed thats all
I don't know if i should class my bleed as AF or just the hormone, i'm one of the lucky women who doesn't get alot of period pains so is there anyway of knowing the difference??

what I found was that the af didn't look normal (sorry tmi) one way of looking at it is if it doesn't look like af it might not be, your body might still take a little bit longer to get back on track
