Need help: Ovulation-First Response easy-read test

hi, I am a new member, and am trying to conceive. I am 35 years old, and recently started using the First Response Easy-Read Ovulation test kit. I have used the stick for 11 straight days but have been unsuccessful in reading LH surge. The LH surge - test line is always lighter than the reference line. I am worried what's possibly wrong- can you please help!! has anyone had a similar issue before, or is it possible that I didnt ovulate this cycle? please advise.
