AF (far TMI!!)

firstly, dont know if i am posting in the right section but as i feel i know you girls on here i decided to post here. Sorry Mods if it should be in a different section.

so as i have previously posted AF was 6 days late this month, full flow started yesterday. But last night was terrible (TMI comming up) i had to get up every hour to change pad and tampoon as were soaked through, at one point i just sat on the loo with the blood pouring out (sorry!!!!) so do you think some thing is wrong or is just because Af was late so its extra heavy?

thanks

When I've been late in the past it has sometimes been extra heavy like that. If you're worried and it's a lot heavier that normal for you then maybe speak to a doctor or nurse but it's most probably just because it was late. You might find it's very heavy for a bit but goes quicker than normal too.

i'm not sure what the cause of it would be, but i think if it is that heavy, and that you never usually bleed like that, you should try to see a doctor about it

hope you feel better soon

Sitting on the loo with it pouring out does not sound good to me, if that is an accurate description then I think you should seek some medical advice, because that cannot be good.

pouring is perhaps an over exageration but certainly not dripping it was kind of a flow?
our doctors are closed weekends and an emergency visit will cost about £60.00 so i was putting off going, daft i know.

are you in the UK? If you are if you call nhs24 they can make an appointment for you at a walk in clinic

if not, then do you have somewhere like that you could go? Like a minor injury type place?

Hey only just saw your post chick, that month i was two weeks late, after the intial wierd day i was horrendously heavy. I get heavy periods anyway first couple of days but yeah i was filling a towel nearly every hour, it was awful, id say thats prob what it is. Glad the doc said the same. Id imagine itd calm down a bit by tomorrow, I had two full flow days and a full night of it but even the second day wasnt as bad.
Shoeshopper make sure you have a relax chick as esp if youre losing all that, you need some goodness inside you as my mum would say to top you back up and get some rest! There thats my mummy bit done! xxx
